Dear friends,
our shared love for flavor exploration has brought us here. We love
seeing masterful craftsmanship, intriguing character, and confidence
in a Whisky. But these feats alone will not get the Deer, Bear & Moose
seal of approval. Rational reasons can only take us so far, can’t they?
What does get “the seal” is really hard to explain with words. But we
can promise you, though, that once any Deer, Bear & Moose Whisky
touches your tongue, you will know why it carries the name. That's a
promise.

ISLE OF JURA 2011 SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY: A JURA-STICK ADVENTURE
Off the West Coast of Scotland lies a remote island called Jura. Only 60 miles from the mainland, yet world’s apart when it comes to its uniqueness. There, among wild mountains, peaceful lochs, and stormy seas our trio of talented taste travelers discovered a true wonder of nature’s wild spirit spliced with the refined artistry of Scottish Whisky-engineering.
The fine Single Malt specimen from the year 2011 was carefully selected and analyzed for its sipping potential. Preserving the unique attributes of its year of birth and the island’s very distinct micro-climate, this rare find tastes like a time capsule of Jura’s days of yore. Now, our Deer, Bear, and Moose trio are known to spare no expense when it comes to Whisky gems, so the specimen was finally packaged as DBM #29 to astonish the audience of discerning Whisky crowds back home.
Cheers!
Deer, Bear & Moose Isle of Jura 2011 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
DBM #29 is a rare Scotch specimen extracted from two Jura hogsheads unedited and vatted together, the no. 700964 and no. 700965 respectively. With an age statement of 11 years, it's a prehistoric creature in its own right, matured to perfection and given a Bourbon cask finish.
Its appearance, a pale golden straw, reminiscent of the sun-drenched landscapes of the Scottish Islands. The aroma, a symphony of marzipan, almonds, bitter chocolate, honey, and citrus. The palate, oily, slightly astringent, layered with robust oaky notes and the sweet surprise of candied fruit.
A true sensory expedition as complex and intriguing as nature itself. Men created this superb Single Malt to show mastery of nature, but nature found its way to surpass their expectations!

You're a bit late to the party, sorry! Previous editions of Deer, Bear & Moose were extremely limited batches of just a handful of cases and all the bottles found their proud new owners by now.
The good news is that the next edition is just around the corner. It will be just as magnificent as the previous ones, every collectors wet dram. Expect it soon, very soon.
